History, uses and notes:

Gaining its name from its use as bedding before the advent of modern mattresses, it is also known as Bed Flower.

The bright yellow flowers provide a strong aroma for our countryside. Some say a smell of honey is prominent when in bloom. 

It is commonly found on roadside verges, cliff tops and meadows.

Historically, Lady's bedstraw was used to curdle milk in the process of cheese-making.

Description:

Lady's bedstraw has small, narrow leaves that appear in whorls on its angular stems. The stems carry frothy heads of tiny, yellow flowers that appear in dense clusters.
