History, uses and notes:

Corn Chamomile is distinctly and agreeably aromatic, smelling clearly of apples.

The name comes from the Greek χαμαίμηλον (khamaimēlon), i.e. "ground apple", from χαμαί (khamai) "on the ground" and μῆλον (mēlon) "apple".

Corn Chamomile has been prized throughout the world for its medicinal properties. Many use it to assuage diarrhoea in children, inflammation and many other ailments.

It is a hardy species and grows in lots of conditions which makes it very popular with lots of pollinators.

Description:

Leaves are divided and feathery, aromatic and with downy undersides. Flowering in summer, flower heads have broad, white ray florets and central discs of yellow.
